This fabulous beach is roughly one hour train ride from Barcelona, one train stop before Tarragona.
Blue water, nice sand… great for disconnecting and forgetting the trouble of a city.

Cafe Zurich must be the center of Barcelona. Located on the corner of Plaza Catalunya and at the beginning of la Rambla, Cafe Zurich is situated at a junction which connects Barrio Gotico with the Eixample and the west of the city with the east. Mixing up with all the people who pass this place when crossing Barcelona from one side to the other are the tourists arriving in Barcelona or visiting la Rambla. Cafe Zurich has established as a common meeting point and is a great place for watching people.

Plaza Real in the old Gothic District is always busy by night. The fountain in the center of the square is typical meeting point and there are plenty of bars and clubs you can visit nearby.

The MNAC is located on top of Montjuic and can be reached by walking up along the fountains from Plaza España.

Portbou is a small town in the north of the costa brava, close to the french border. Good for walks and visiting the Walter Benjamin memorial. It takes around two hours to get there from Barcelona.
